It seems fried chicken is the new craze in Thailand. KFC had become extremely popular there and many mom and pop places are popping along the street to counter KFC. Some dishes that are generally served with grilled chicken now have fried chicken as an option. One featured special” Khao Mok Gai Tod” is fried chicken served with jasmine rice wok flashed with turmeric, yellow curry powder & bay leaves. Typically it is served with baked chicken, but this new version is delicious as well. The are also 2 different kinds of fried chicken appetizers — one spicy and one curry-coconut.
