Pad Thai Too is a family-run establishment. The restaurant started off in 1999 as a hole in the wall on College Ave. in Waterville. We expanded to the KMD location in 2004. The owners are the cooks, so we truly care about what leaves our kitchen. All four members, mother, father, son & daughter are in the kitchen everyday, preparing every dish that goes out.
We are a “No Ketchup in our Pad Thai” restaurant. Our goal is to provide delicious, fresh, made-to-order Thai food using the ingredients available in Central Maine without compromising the integrity of Thai cuisine. We aim to share with our customers the delicious flavors of Thai cuisine as close to authentic as possible.
We care about our customers. We prepare our food as if we are cooking for our own family. We use a soybean/vegetable oil that is trans fat free and we absolutely add NO MSG to our dishes. Each dish is carefully prepared to order. No vats to scoop out of here.
We have always catered to the vegan/vegetarian crowd, so we do not use any fish sauce in our dishes and have chosen to use a light soy sauce instead. The light soy sauce is a wonderful substitute for fish sauce since it keeps the flavor fairly spot on to fish sauce without the smell, and herbivores and omnivores alike can enjoy it. We also use no dairy in our curries, only 100% coconut milk.
This is the first time I’ve ready your story, but I already knew you care about the food you prepare. I have ordered many dishes on your menu and I have always been pleased. In fact, pleased probably isn’t strong enough of a word. Delighted is more like it! I live in Bangor, but I always try to stop by your restaurant when I’m in or driving through Waterville. The new site looks amazing. I have been ordering from your fine restaurant since the very beginning(College Ave) and it is hands down my favorite place to eat. I could eat your food all day everyday. I have converted countless “picky eaters” by bringing them to your establishment. The staff is friendly and I always feel at home. I love this restaurant and I hope you’re open forever! Mum mums is wicked tasty too!!!!

I lived in Fairfield from 2001 to 2003. I used to pickup the best Thai food outside of Thailand, and yes, I’ve been there. Upon moving to several new states and currently in California, I have yet to find a place that has anything anywhere close to the food you get here. I was in Maine for business and thought that you closed up, as the place on College Drive was empty. I just could believe that you could have gone out of business with how great the food is. I was so relieved to find out that you moved to a larger location and it was very busy when I came in for dinner last night. Anyways, like I said, you are the best Thai restaurant I have found in the country and I wish I could visit more often! Fellow patrons, enjoy! Thanks!
My wife & I traveled from Summerside, PEI this past Nov 11th weekend specifically to once again have some of your delicious Thai cooking. Because we didn’t want to leave our Yorkie alone in the room at the Fireside Inn & Suites, we had the meal delivered. Due to the overwhelming amount of business you were receiving the night of the 13th, we had to wait a couple of hrs BUT, once it arrived, we were more than satisfied with the quality, taste & texture of the meals.
It has been over 5 years since the last time we last dined at the Pad Thai Too, it was during a business trip and we stopped at the motel next door for for the night and dined at your establishment. We were so impressed with the food that night that we made a return reservation at the same motel just so we could enjoy another fine Thai meal.
We mentioned all of this to the person who delivered the meal to the Motel, but I wanted to post this on your site so that others can read our little story. Really great food !!!!
